Iran’s reaction to the immediate ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan: a useful and constructive step

In the first regional reaction to the immediate ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Iranian officials have described the deal as “useful and constructive.”


Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Iran’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, reacted to the agreement today (Sunday, October 19) in a post on X.


However, the Special Representative for Afghanistan stated that the collective interests of all regional countries lie in strengthening peace, stability, and security.

Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid: U.S. drones enter Afghanistan’s airspace using Pakistan’s airspace

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, has said that U.S. drones enter Afghanistan’s airspace using Pakistan’s airspace. Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the Islamic Emirate’s negotiation team has also asked the Pakistani side not to allow its airspace to be used against Afghanistan. However, Zabihullah Mujahid added that the Pakistani side has gone back on its commitment in this regard.

In the end, the visiting team and delegation members expressed great happiness over H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani’s material and moral appreciation and considered it a great reassurance for the future, knowing that they have the attention and support of such leaders.

Mujahid’s reaction to Pakistan’s Defense Minister’s remarks: Khawaja Asif’s authority is limited to X

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, stated that they will never respond to statements made by Khawaja Asif, as he holds no authority and his influence is limited to Twitter. Mr. Mujahid added: "We know that Pakistan does not want war, and even the political parties there are not in favor of conflict. Since they do not want war, we do not favor it either." These remarks by the Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson come after Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif recently made comments regarding the continuation of conflict with Afghanistan.
