Trump warns India: It will face U.S. sanctions if it continues to buy oil from Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again warned that India will face Washington’s sanctions if it continues to purchase oil from Russia.


According to Reuters, which reported the statement today (Monday, October 20), President Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters aboard the presidential aircraft Air Force One.


Along side, he emphasized that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured him that New Delhi would halt its oil purchases from Russia.

Syrian President Ahmed Shar’ah is expected to visit Washington

The U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, has said that Syrian President Ahmed Shar’ah is expected to visit Washington. Reuters reported that this would be the first visit of a Syrian leader to the U.S. capital. According to a White House official, the visit is expected to take place around November 10. Meanwhile, Syrian officials have also stated that the visit is anticipated within the next two weeks.
