A number of Pakistani media outlets, citing government sources, have reported that the Torkham crossing is expected to reopen for movement within the next 24 to 48 hours.


The Geo News network, one of Pakistan’s major media outlets, reported this on Monday night (October 20).


According to the report, officials from Afghanistan and Pakistan have reached an agreement on reopening the crossing, and if no new issues arise, the Torkham border will soon be reopened for travel and transport.
