Senior White House officials have confirmed that the planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, has been postponed indefinitely.

Reuters reported on Tuesday night, quoting a senior White House source, that the meeting had been delayed.

Meanwhile, the U.S. President, speaking to reporters, said in response to a question about the postponement of his meeting with Vladimir Putin that he did not want to have a “pointless meeting.”
