Fire Contained in Industrial Parks of Balkh Province

Hafiz Mohammad Esa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Provincial Police Command, said that a fire broke out due to the negligence of employees of the Abu Shafiq Qadiri waterproofing company in the industrial parks located in the 11th security district of the Balkh Police Command.


He added that the incident was quickly brought under control by the emergency response and firefighting teams of the Balkh Police Command, along with the firefighting unit from the Hairatan crossroads.


According to Mr. Wasiq, the fire caused an estimated loss of about 50,000 Afghanis, while goods and materials worth around 500,000 Afghanis in nearby areas were saved from the flames.

Arrest of Eight Gamblers in a Residential House in Balkh

Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, said today (Sunday) that the sixth security zone police in Balkh arrested eight individuals who were gambling in a residential house. According to him, a sum of cash was seized, including 500 US dollars, 50 euros, and 42,890 Afghanis. After preliminary investigations, the cases of these individuals will be referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition seized by security forces in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, said that security forces from the Dara-e-Suf Bala district police command carried out a precise and targeted operation last night, during which they discovered and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from irresponsible individuals. According to him, as a result of this operation, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one Kalashnikov rifle, seven rocket rounds, fifteen hand grenades, four mortar shells, 146 PK bullets, and a quantity of other ammunition were recovered.
