Afghanistan, Iran, and Turkey have agreed to jointly launch the construction project of the Herat–Mazar-e-Sharif railway line

In a trilateral meeting between Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahebzada, Deputy Minister of Railways at the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan, and officials from Iran and Turkey, held on the sidelines of the 36th Regional Meeting of the International Union of Railways (UIC) in Turkey, it was agreed that the project for constructing the Herat–Mazar-e-Sharif railway line would begin through joint cooperation among the three countries.


The meeting also agreed that extending the Khaf–Herat railway line to Mazar-e-Sharif would serve as the best route for connecting the Middle East railway network with the European network and onward to East Asia for transit purposes.


During the session, participants discussed increasing the transportation of commercial goods via the Khaf–Herat railway. Officials from the three countries described the completion and operation of this line as an important opportunity for expanding regional railway cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating transport and increasing the volume of shipments along this route.

Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid: U.S. drones enter Afghanistan’s airspace using Pakistan’s airspace

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, has said that U.S. drones enter Afghanistan’s airspace using Pakistan’s airspace. Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the Islamic Emirate’s negotiation team has also asked the Pakistani side not to allow its airspace to be used against Afghanistan. However, Zabihullah Mujahid added that the Pakistani side has gone back on its commitment in this regard.

The Minister of Interior, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with the national under-17 futsal team

Minister of Interior Affairs-IEA, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with the national futsal team (under 17). Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani praised the championship of these young players and told them: “You represent every Afghan; the entire nation celebrates your victory with full national unity and joy. You have brought honor to Afghanistan , continue with the same confidence, truly represent the whole of Afghanistan, and preserve the accepted Islamic and Afghan values in this proud representation.” Further more, Khalifa assured the team, their coaches, and the representatives of the Olympic Committee of his comprehensive support. In the end, the visiting team and delegation members expressed great happiness over H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani’s material and moral appreciation and considered it a great reassurance for the future, knowing that they have the attention and support of such leaders.

Mujahid’s reaction to Pakistan’s Defense Minister’s remarks: Khawaja Asif’s authority is limited to X

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, stated that they will never respond to statements made by Khawaja Asif, as he holds no authority and his influence is limited to Twitter. Mr. Mujahid added: "We know that Pakistan does not want war, and even the political parties there are not in favor of conflict. Since they do not want war, we do not favor it either." These remarks by the Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson come after Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif recently made comments regarding the continuation of conflict with Afghanistan.
