UN: One and a half million Palestinians in Gaza are in urgent need of immediate shelter
The United Nations, stating that shelter is a necessity and not a luxury, has reported that one and a half million residents of the Gaza Strip are in urgent and immediate need of shelter due to the destruction caused by the Israeli occupying regime over the past two years.
The organization, in a report released on Friday night (October 24), highlighted the urgent humanitarian needs of Gaza’s residents.
According to the report, Amy Pope, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), said that the people of Gaza have endured unimaginable suffering and loss, with 90 percent of them displaced from their homes.
