Vladimir Putin Visits Frontlines as Thousands of Ukrainian Troops Reportedly Encircled
Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited the frontlines of the war, where Valery Gerasimov, Russia’s Chief of the General Staff, reported that thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are surrounded.
According to Gerasimov, about 5,000 Ukrainian troops are encircled in the Kharkiv region, and another 5,500 soldiers are trapped in Donetsk by Russian forces.
Putin reportedly made the visit to assess the battlefield situation and to praise the morale of Russian troops.
