 The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement on Sunday, welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Afghanistan and Pakistan, expressing support for efforts aimed at ensuring regional peace and stability.

The ministry noted that Ankara had actively contributed to the peace talks between the two neighboring countries and had worked to help establish a mechanism for lasting peace.

Turkiye also extended its appreciation to Qatar for hosting the negotiations and playing a key role in the mediation process.

The ceasefire deal, announced on Saturday night, was brokered by Qatar and Turkiye, marking a significant step toward reducing tensions and building mutual trust between Kabul and Islamabad.
