Two tons of “Oman” plants discovered and burned in Badghis

Badghis Provincial Police Command reported, that last night, based on intelligence information, security forces discovered around two tons of “Oman” plants in the “Joq Boland” area of Qadis district. The plants had been collected by unknown individuals for the purpose of producing narcotics and were subsequently burned.


The source added that “Oman” is a type of mountainous plant used in the production of narcotic substances.

Arrest of Eight Gamblers in a Residential House in Balkh

Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, said today (Sunday) that the sixth security zone police in Balkh arrested eight individuals who were gambling in a residential house. According to him, a sum of cash was seized, including 500 US dollars, 50 euros, and 42,890 Afghanis. After preliminary investigations, the cases of these individuals will be referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition seized by security forces in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, said that security forces from the Dara-e-Suf Bala district police command carried out a precise and targeted operation last night, during which they discovered and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from irresponsible individuals. According to him, as a result of this operation, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one Kalashnikov rifle, seven rocket rounds, fifteen hand grenades, four mortar shells, 146 PK bullets, and a quantity of other ammunition were recovered.
