Torkham gate is open only for returning Afghan refugees

Local officials in Torkham reported to the media that today the gate will be opened exclusively for Afghan refugees returning to their homeland.


Officials have urged other travelers to avoid using the Torkham route until further notice.


Meanwhile, Mohammad Hashim Maiwandwal, the head of the Omari Camp in Torkham, said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the returning Afghan refugees, and efforts are underway to manage the repatriation process in an organized and secure manner.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, has said that U.S. drones enter Afghanistan’s airspace using Pakistan’s airspace. Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the Islamic Emirate’s negotiation team has also asked the Pakistani side not to allow its airspace to be used against Afghanistan. However, Zabihullah Mujahid added that the Pakistani side has gone back on its commitment in this regard.

In the end, the visiting team and delegation members expressed great happiness over H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani’s material and moral appreciation and considered it a great reassurance for the future, knowing that they have the attention and support of such leaders.

Mujahid’s reaction to Pakistan’s Defense Minister’s remarks: Khawaja Asif’s authority is limited to X

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, stated that they will never respond to statements made by Khawaja Asif, as he holds no authority and his influence is limited to Twitter. Mr. Mujahid added: "We know that Pakistan does not want war, and even the political parties there are not in favor of conflict. Since they do not want war, we do not favor it either." These remarks by the Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson come after Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif recently made comments regarding the continuation of conflict with Afghanistan.
