Muttaqi, Pakistan Chargé d’Affaires discuss political, economic issues
The Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting, with Obaid ur Rehman Nizamani, the Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan, discussed strengthening of political and economic relations between the two countries, the ministry said in a statement Saturday. Muttaqi said that the positive interaction of regional countries with Afghanistan is expanding and the region has realized that Afghanistan’s stability can have a positive role in initiatives and comprehensive regional progress, according to the statement. Also, Mawlavi Muttaqi expressed hope that the new Pakistani government, with a positive policy, will take constructive steps to strengthen relations between the two countries. Nizamani said that relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan are very important and his country’s new government’s outlook is focused on expanding relations with the country, the statement added. Both sides emphasized on provision of passengers, patients and traders with necessary facilities in the ports of both countries.
