According to a report by the Red Cross, Israel handed over the bodies of 45 Palestinians after receiving the bodies of three Israelis from Hamas. Israeli officials stated that these three individuals were soldiers killed on October 7, 2023, in an attack led by Hamas, the attack that triggered the Gaza war.

Pakistan to Hand Over PIA to Private Sector Amid Economic Difficulties

Reuters has reported that a business consortium has emerged as the top bidder to acquire a 75% stake in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The consortium submitted the highest bid for the national carrier. The Pakistani government said, it can no longer afford to run the airline due to persistent financial losses and therefore plans to transfer PIA to the private sector.

Pakistani traders lose more than $4 million daily

Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, quoting exporters, industrialists and traders, reported that they are losing more than $4 million a day due to the closure of trade routes with Afghanistan. Pakistani traders said Pakistan is rapidly losing its markets in Afghanistan and Central Asia because of the continued closure of commercial routes. Meanwhile, the Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, said that trade routes with Pakistan would only be reopened once strong and reliable guarantees are provided by the Pakistani government.
