Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, has shared the details of the recent discussions between Afghanistan and Pakistan with representatives of embassies based in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the deputy minister described the failure of the negotiations between Kabul and Islamabad as the result of the Pakistani side’s unrealistic and impractical demands.

According to Mr. Naeem, attributing Pakistan’s security problems to Afghanistan reflects the intentions of groups that do not want the issues between the two countries to be resolved through dialogue.

Further more, the Foreign Ministry official added that whenever the Pakistani side shows goodwill in the negotiations and puts forward reasonable and realistic demands, the Islamic Emirate is ready to address the issues through diplomacy and understanding.
