The delegation from the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan participated in the International Transport and Logistics Forum and Exhibition in Uzbekistan
Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, Deputy of Railways at the Ministry of Public Works, led a delegation and participated in the International Transport and Logistics Forum and Exhibition in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
During the forum and exhibition, projects, achievements, and new technologies in the field of transport and logistics were introduced and showcased.
Additionally, on the sidelines of the exhibition, Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada held separate meetings with representatives and officials from the railways of the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and representatives of the countries involved in the Afghan-Trans project. The discussions focused on the construction of the Herat-Kandahar railway and the commencement of its practical work, transit fee reductions for Afghanistan’s trade goods from China and vice versa via Kazakhstan, the initiation of technical and economic studies for the Afghan-Trans project, facilitation and reductions for transporting trade goods through Uzbekistan’s railway, and providing additional support and facilities for traders.
