Discussions were held on cultural cooperation between Afghanistan and Japan
Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with Masamoto Kenichi, Japan’s Ambassador, to discuss cultural cooperation and the preservation of historical heritage.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi appreciated Japan’s efforts in protecting and restoring Afghanistan’s ancient and historical sites.
The Japanese Ambassador also acknowledged the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in safeguarding historical heritage and stated that Afghanistan’s ancient civilization holds global significance. He emphasized that the protection of historical sites and monuments is not only the responsibility of the Afghan government but a shared responsibility among all countries in the world.
