Iran to expand imports from Afghanistan
Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, Governor of Iran’s Khorasan Razavi Province, arrived in Herat today at the head of a high-level trade delegation and met with Sheikh Maulana Islamjar, the governor of the province.
During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding trade cooperation, strengthening cross-border commerce, facilitating transit, and exploring joint economic opportunities between Herat and Khorasan Razavi.
Meanwhile, the governor of Herat stated that the development of the Herat-Khaf railway line, enhancing transit relations, and full readiness to facilitate economic cooperation are among the local administration’s priorities.
On the other hand, the governor of Khorasan Razavi said that imports from Afghanistan will be expanded, and any goods or materials needed by the Iranian market will be imported from the country.
