Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan confirms the killing of three of its citizens
Reuters has reported that the Chinese Embassy in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, has confirmed that following an attack yesterday in Khatlon province, near the Afghan border, three Chinese citizens were killed and one other injured.
The report states that the victims were employees of the company “LLC Shohin SM.”
In a statement released by the embassy, it was claimed that the attack was carried out by a drone from Afghan territory. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said today (Friday) that “the incident involves elements seeking to create instability, distrust, and chaos in the region.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate added that preliminary investigations have been conducted and that the authority is fully ready to cooperate with the government of Tajikistan in the investigation.
