Victory of Afghanistan’s U-17 team over Nepal in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers


Afghanistan’s U-17 national football team defeated Nepal in the group stage of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.


Reports added, that the match, held this evening (Friday) in Myanmar, ended with a 2–0 victory for Afghanistan.


On other side, the Afghan youth team will face Oman in their final group-stage fixture.

Anthony Joshua’s victory over Jake Paul in a spectacular bout

Anthony Joshua, the world heavyweight boxing champion and an Olympic gold medallist, has defeated American YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in a high-profile and closely watched bout. The fight took place early on Saturday morning Kabul time in the United States. Joshua, the British boxer, secured victory in the sixth round, stopping his opponent with a technical knockout. Joshua entered the contest with a professional record of 28 wins and four defeats, the majority of his victories having come by knockout. Paul, meanwhile, came into the ring with 11 wins and one loss, but was unable to cope with Joshua’s experience and power, ultimately conceding defeat. Given the global profile of both athletes, the bout has attracted widespread media coverage.

Seventh round of national buzkashi league gets under way

The seventh round of the national buzkashi league began today (Thursday, December 11) at the National Buzkashi Stadium in Yakatoot, with the cooperation of the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, and Radio Television Afghanistan. The opening ceremony and group-stage matches were held today, while the official competitions are set to begin tomorrow (Friday, December 12). Meanwhile, a total of 11 teams, featuring both domestic and foreign chapandaz riders, are taking part in the tournament, which will run for 10 days.

Afghanistan secured third place in the sixth edition of the international “Fajr Cup” weightlifting competition

Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports officials said, that Afghanistan has secured third place in the sixth edition of the international weightlifting competition “Fajr Cup.” Atal Mashwani, the spokesperson for the directorate, told the radio this evening (Saturday, November 29) that Afghanistan earned this position. According to Mashwani, Fazl Karim Turkman, the country’s weightlifting representative in the competition, succeeded in winning three bronze medals. He added that Turkman, competing in the +110 kg category, achieved a total of 305 kilograms, earning three bronze medals and securing third place for Afghanistan in the tournament.
