Al Jazeera, citing Indonesian officials, has reported that at least 174 individuals have died and around 80 others are missing following recent floods and landslides on the island of Sumatra in western Indonesia.


According to reports, thousands of families have been displaced due to these floods.


Meanwhile, the government of Thailand has announced that 145 people have died in eight southern provinces of the country as a result of flooding.


At the same time, a storm named “Dethwa” in Sri Lanka has caused floods and landslides, killing at least 56 individuals and leaving 23 others missing.
