Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister said, that amid recent heightened tensions with the Islamic Emirate, Islamabad was prepared to carry out a “cleansing operation” inside Afghan territory. However, following urgent requests from Qatar and Turkey and their intervention as mediators, the military action was halted.


Ishaq Dar stated in a meeting that Pakistan has “fulfilled all its commitments” and remains ready for dialogue with the current Afghan government, emphasizing the importance of stability in Afghanistan.
