Iranian media have reported that Mohammad Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, met with Noor Ahmad Agha, Governor of the Central Bank of Afghanistan, to discuss the establishment of branches of Afghan banks at the Dogharoon border.


It is said that during this joint economic meeting, officials from both countries emphasized strengthening banking and financial cooperation.


The governors of the central banks of Afghanistan and Iran also discussed various issues related to banking activities, financial transaction mechanisms, and existing challenges concerning the operations of money exchangers.
