TIKA has implemented hundreds of projects worth 100 million dollars in northern Afghanistan
Mikail Taş, Head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) office in Balkh, met with Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, Minister of Information and Culture.
During the meeting, Taş said that TIKA has implemented and completed nearly 700 projects in northern provinces of Afghanistan, with a total value of about 100 million dollars.
He also emphasized the cultural significance of the restoration of the Khanqah Bahauddin Walad, father of Mawlana Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi, and assured that the project will be completed and inaugurated in the near future.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture appreciated TIKA’s efforts in preserving cultural heritage and restoring historical buildings and assured full cooperation for the successful completion of the projects.
It is worth noting that TIKA recently also restored the tomb of Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni in Ghazni province.
