Kabul-Jalalabad highway was blocked due to a rockfall in the Doronta area
The National Disaster Preparedness Authority (NDPA) said that yesterday evening, a large boulder fell from a mountain in the Doronta area of Qargha’i district in Laghman province, blocking the Kabul-Jalalabad highway up to the Doronta Dam.
The authority has warned citizens and travelers that the risk of further rockfalls in this area is serious; therefore, people should avoid traveling on this route and use the Charbagh route in Qargha’i district as an alternative.
