Project for Repair and Installation of Culverts Completed in Various Districts of Mazar-e-Sharif at a Cost of Around 10 Million Afghanis
The project for the repair, supply, and installation of culverts and construction of curbstones in several districts of Mazar-e-Sharif city has been successfully completed, with a closing ceremony held to mark its completion. This project was funded and implemented by the Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality at an approximate cost of 10 million Afghanis.
Mohammad Jawed Mayar, Head of the Sectoral Department of Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality, stated that the practical work on this project was carried out in the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 9th districts of the city by Tanweer Balkh Construction and Road-Building Company.
According to the head of the sectoral department described the implementation of this project as an effective step toward improving urban infrastructure and facilitating transportation. According to Mr. Mayar, with the completion of this project, many issues related to waterlogging and travel difficulties in the mentioned districts have been reduced.
Meanwhile, a number of local residents expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the project, saying that the construction of culverts has helped reduce commuting problems during the rainy season, allowing people to carry out their daily activities more easily.
Further more, this project is one of dozens of infrastructure programs undertaken by the Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality this year. Local officials say that efforts are ongoing to implement more projects in various parts of the city.
