The Construction of 175 Development Projects Worth Over 245 Million Afghanis Inaugurated in Parwan Province
Officials from the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Afghanistan announced that the construction of 175 small and large development projects in the districts of Salang and Shinwari in Parwan province was inaugurated in the presence of local and central government officials. The total value of these projects exceeds 245 million Afghanis.
Reports added, the projects were inaugurated during a special ceremony attended by Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhundzada, Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, and Mufti Mohammad Idris Anwari, Governor of Parwan province.
Further more, Engineer Asadullah, Head of the Development Department at the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, stated that these projects were implemented with financial support from the World Bank and in collaboration with the UN Regional Office, according to the ministry’s directives and based on technical surveys. He added that the total budget spent on these projects will exceed 245 million Afghanis and includes the construction and reconstruction of bridges, culverts, roads, and retaining walls. These efforts will create direct and indirect employment opportunities for youth.
