Assistance Provided to Farmers with Improved Maize Seeds and Agricultural Tools In Nangarhar
In coordination with the Nangarhar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, and in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), 106 farmers in Achin, Spin Ghar, and Haska Mena districts received improved hybrid maize seeds, chemical fertilizers, and agricultural tools.
Molavi Mohammad Wali Mohsen, head of the Nangarhar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, stated that each farmer was provided with 6 kilograms of hybrid maize seeds, 50 kilograms of sulfur, and 50 kilograms of urea fertilizer. Agricultural tools such as hoes, spades, sickles, forks, and plows were also distributed.
Mr. Mohsen explained that the purpose of distributing high-yield maize seeds is to promote improved seeds and ensure food security.
