Mohammad Hussain Azimi, Director of Agricultural Extension at the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Balkh province, said, that this year, over 650 hectares of land have been cultivated with potatoes in the province.

He further added, that compared to previous years, there has been a significant increase in potato farming and cultivation in Balkh this year.

Meanwhile, farmers, while expressing satisfaction with the rise in potato cultivation, say that if the Islamic Emirate provides more support in this sector, they could achieve self-sufficiency.
