Millions of Afghanis Worth of Goods Saved from Fire in Nangarhar
The spokesperson for the acting governor of Nangarhar province, Sayed Tayyib Hamad, stated that the fire department managed to quickly contain a fire that broke out due to an electrical short circuit in the medicine storage of Bibi Fatima Al-Zahra Hospital, located in the 2nd security district of Jalalabad city.
According to Mr. Hamad, the incident caused financial losses estimated at around 200,000 Afghanis. However, medicines and other items worth approximately 4 million Afghanis were saved from being destroyed in the fire.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
