The Public Relations Office of the Nangarhar Agriculture Department told Police Radio that, in coordination with the Child Protection Office, nearly two million Afghanis were distributed to 100 farmers in Momandara and Lalpur districts. The funds were provided to help purchase improved seeds, chemical fertilizers, and agricultural tools.

According to the Public Relations Office, Mawlawi Mohammad Wali Mohsen, head of Nangarhar Agriculture Department, said that each farmer received 10,200 Afghanis for purchasing hybrid maize seeds and chemical fertilizers, and an additional 9,500 Afghanis for acquiring agricultural tools.

Sources added that the organization had previously provided similar cash assistance to dozens of farmers in these districts.
