The Balkh Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Netherlands Committee Office, organized an awareness program for 28 livestock farmers from Mir Qasem village in Chimtal district.

Based on reports, the program focused on the importance of livestock farming, as well as training on milk and wool collection. In addition, each participant received 500 Afghanis in cash assistance from the partner organization.

Further more, the Balkh Agriculture Department stated that supporting livestock farmers, building their capacity, and increasing animal production are among the department’s key priorities.
