A few weeks ago, with support from neighboring Uzbekistan, improved seeds were distributed to farmers in Balkh province to assist them. The distribution included four types of seeds: melon, pumpkin, watermelon, and cucumber.

Based on the allocated quotas, these seeds were handed out to a number of farmers in nine districts of Balkh province. The distribution was carried out under the supervision of Moulavi Azamuddin Abu Khalis, the Director of Agricultural Affairs at the Agriculture Department, along with selected representatives.
