Base Course Construction Begins on Five Roads in Mazar-e-Sharif City
The base course work for five roads has begun in Karte Solh (District 7) of Mazar-e-Sharif city, which is funded by the municipality's development budget.
These roads are being prepared for asphalt paving in the near future.
The roads have a total length of 1,500 meters and varying widths of 12, 6, and 8 meters. The project includes the construction of drainage ditches, installation of 90 electricity poles, building of 6 culverts, road marking, and other components of a standard road.
Additionally, work such as digging, construction of drainage channels, soil transportation, installation of light poles, subgrade and sub-base layers has been completed. The base course process is currently underway, and spraying (prime coat) and asphalt paving are scheduled to begin in the coming days.
