Through the efforts of the Helmand Province Directorate of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs and with financial support from a cooperating charitable foundation, food aid was distributed to 600 orphans, widows, and disabled individuals in Lashkargah center as well as in the districts of Garmsir, Babaji, Nahri Saraj, Nad Ali, Marjah, and Nawa.

According to the director of the Martyrs and Disabled Affairs department, the distributed food packages included: 50 kg of flour, 24.5 kg of rice, 10 kg of beans, 10 kg of lentils, 20 kg of sugar and15 liters of cooking oil.

The distribution was carried out transparently today in the presence of relevant officials and journalists.

It is worth mentioning that the survey of these deserving families had been conducted some time ago by the Directorate of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs.

Previously, similar assistance had also been provided to thousands of other deserving families through the efforts of this department.
