The asphalt project for a 2,200-meter road stretching from Pul Kariz to Sheedai Bazaar has been launched in the 15th district of Herat city. The project is funded by the municipality’s developmental budget at a cost of 27 million Afghanis.

Mohammad Nasir, spokesperson for Herat Municipality, said the project will construct the northern lane of the road, which is 2,200 meters long and 8 meters wide, financed through the municipality’s developmental budget.

Meanwhile, several residents of the 15th district have welcomed the start of the project, noting that the road had been in poor condition for many years and caused numerous difficulties for pedestrians and drivers. They added that with the road’s construction, many traffic accidents will be prevented, and urban mobility will be significantly improved.
