Asphalting Work on the Second Phase of Emarat Road Begins in Mazar-e-Sharif with the Presence of the Mayor
Officials from the Municipality of Balkh Province announced that, in order to promote economic growth, facilitate the movement of vehicles and citizens, and support the standardized development of Mazar-e-Sharif city, the asphalting work on the second phase of Emarat Road has begun. The project, costing over 40 million Afghanis, was launched in the industrial parks of District 6 of Mazar-e-Sharif with the presence of Hafiz Abdul Rahman Hemat, the Mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, and the municipality’s engineering team.
According to the officials, this project includes asphalting the second phase of the road with a length of 1,400 meters and a width of 14 meters, construction of central medians, road marking, building six standard culverts along the route, and other components of a standard road. The project is funded through the development budget of the Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality.
Hafiz Abdul Rahman Hemat, during the launch of the project, emphasized to the contracting company that the project must be implemented thoroughly, in accordance with international standards and the terms of the contract.
