According to a press release from the Ministry of Water and Energy, Mullah Shir Jan Rashidi, head of the Water and Energy Department of Laghman province, has inspected the progress of work on the Shahi Canal and has given necessary instructions to relevant officials to speed up the work and ensure good quality.

The source added that the canal consists of two phases, with a total length of 70 kilometers, irrigating about 20,000 hectares of agricultural land.

It is worth mentioning that the Shahi Canal is located in the Alingar district of Laghman province, where approximately 12% of the work has been completed so far.
