The Media Office of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of Nangarhar Province announced in a press release that a new clean drinking water supply network has been officially inaugurated in Gardi Ghaws Dag village of Momand Dara district.

The project, funded by Cordaid organization at a cost of 3.3 million Afghanis, includes the digging of a 100-meter-deep well, installation of a 20,000-liter water storage tank, 55 tap stands, 14 solar panels (each with 450 watts capacity), one submersible pump, one inverter, and a two-kilometer pipeline.

The source added that during the construction phase, dozens of workers were employed, and now, more than 100 households in the village are benefiting from access to clean drinking water.
