Concrete Paving Project Begins in District 6 of Herat City
Officials from the Herat Municipality said, that the concrete paving project for various streets in District 6 of Herat city, covering a length of 1,900 meters and costing 17 million Afghanis, has officially begun, funded by the municipality's development budget.
According to the municipality's press office, the project involves concreting streets 6, 12, 14, and 15 along the Anjil canal in different parts of District 6. The total length of the project is 1,900 meters with a width of 8 meters and includes the construction of culverts. It is being carried out with a total cost of 17 million Afghanis from the development budget of Herat Municipality. The project was inaugurated by Alhaj Mullah Nematullah Hasan Sahib, the mayor of Herat, in the presence of community elders, street representatives, local council leaders, and other relevant officials.
Meanwhile, several residents of District 6 expressed satisfaction with the launch of the project, saying that the concreting of these streets will significantly reduce transportation problems and provide many facilities for the local population.
On the other hand, representatives from the contracting companies have assured the public of the project's quality and stated that it will be completed and delivered on time as per the terms of the contract.
It is worth noting that the project is scheduled to be completed within 70 calendar days by the contracted company.
