Around 50000 tons of Pomegranates exported from Kandahar this year

KANDAHAR, Nov. 18 – Kandahar province has exported pomegranates worth around $20 million, so far this year. Kandahar Chamber of Commerce and Investment Department says; So far this year, a total of 48,380 tons of pomegranates have been exported from Kandahar to Pakistan, India and Kazakhstan.

Major Bridge in Khost’s Musa Khel District Nearing Completion

A major and strategically important bridge located in the Ghalang area of Musa Khel district of Khost province, is set to be inaugurated soon. The construction of the bridge is approximately 95% complete. Today, under the guidance and financial support of Khost Governor Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Qayum Rohani, officials from the Department of Public Works carried out the backfilling and reinforcement operations. It is worth mentioning that this bridge is considered one of the most important in Khost. It has been designed and constructed based on fundamental and standard engineering practices and will be opened for public use in the near future.

Humanitarian Aid Provided to Hundreds of Displaced Families in Nangarhar

Mufti Abdul Muttalib Haqqani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, said, that on (June 1), aid was distributed to 204 poor, disabled, and internally displaced families in the Ghanikhil district of Nangarhar province. According to Mr. Haqqani, these families had previously been surveyed and identified. Partner organizations provided 140 families with seven types of food items, while 64 families received one solar-powered stove each.

Completion and Inauguration of Three Water Supply Networks in Arghistan District, of Kandahar Province

Mawlawi Abdul Mahmood Azzam, spokesperson for the Kandahar provincial governor’s office, announced that the Department of Rural Development of Kandahar, in collaboration with the Islamic Charity Organization, has completed and inaugurated three drinking water supply networks in the villages of Nezadkhel, Zarinzai, and Khogiani in Arghistan district. According to Mr. Azzam, a total of 17.6 million Afghanis were spent on these projects, providing 251 families with access to clean drinking water.
