The paving, lighting, and beautification project of the road from Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport to Shahr-e-Naw square in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, has officially begun. This project spans 2.5 kilometers in length and 14 meters in width and is being funded by the developmental budget of the municipality, with a total cost of 64 million Afghanis.

The inauguration ceremony of this project was held yesterday with the presence of the Deputy Governor of Balkh, Mawlawi Noorulhadi Abu Edris; the Mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, Hafiz Abdulrahman Hemat; government officials; representatives of the airport; and local residents.
