Distribution of Food Aid to 250 Returnee Families in Jawzjan
Ahmad Siawash Haris, the spokesperson for the governor of Jawzjan province, stated that as part of the ongoing humanitarian assistance process for returnee families, food aid was distributed today (Wednesday) to 250 families who were recently forcibly deported from Iran and Pakistan.
According to Mr. Haris, the aid included one 50-kilogram sack of flour and one 25-kilogram sack of rice per family. The assistance was provided by the Directorate of Disaster Management in coordination with the Directorate of Refugees and Repatriations of Jawzjan province.
However, the distribution process was carried out in the presence of representatives from the provincial governor’s office, the Directorate of Refugees and Repatriations, the Directorate of Disaster Management, the Department of Economy, the Red Crescent, and the Department of Rural Development.
It is worth noting that similar aid had previously been distributed to 1,597 returnee families.
