Inauguration and Commencement of Canal Construction Project in Various Alleys of District 1 and Concrete Paving of Ibn Sina 6 Road with a Total Cost of Approximately 3.2 Million Afghanis from the Development Budget of Herat Municipality
The canal construction project in Nawahi 3, Ebn Sina 6, and Bagh-e-Murad 11 alleys covering a total length of 450 meters along with the concrete paving of Ibn Sina 6 Road over a stretch of 220 meters with varying widths, officially began with a total cost of approximately 3.2 million Afghanis from Herat Municipality’s development budget.
Meanwhile, the project was formally inaugurated by Haji Mawlawi Jalaluddin Haqdoost, Deputy Director of Herat Municipality; Engineer Mohammad Ayub Saif-ul-Jihad, Head of Technical and Professional Department; Mawlawi Abdul Ahad Khairkhwah, Head of Urban Governance; the District 1 Manager; the municipality’s legal and Sharia advisors; local elders; alley representatives; and heads of local development councils. The work is being carried out by Ashiyana-e-Mandegar Construction and Road-Building Company.
Additionally, the project contractor stated that the work will be completed within the specified timeframe and according to the standards outlined in the contract and terms of reference issued by the Municipality.
Meanwhile, residents of District 1 expressed hope that upon completion, the project will reduce issues related to transportation and waterlogging in their alleys and provide significant ease and convenience.
It is worth mentioning that the project is scheduled to be completed and operational within 120 calendar days by the contracted company.
