 In coordination with the Department of Refugees and Repatriation of Balkh Province, a humanitarian organization distributed cash assistance to 525 returnee families who had recently returned from Pakistan and Iran.

Al-Haj Mawlawi Asadullah Wafa, head of the Department of Refugees and Repatriation in Balkh, told to several media outlets that with the continued return of Afghan refugees to the country, hundreds of individuals are arriving in Balkh on a daily basis. Since the beginning of the current calendar year, more than 30,000 refugees have returned to the province, and the repatriation process is still ongoing.

Following his remarks, the aid distribution process began. Each of the 525 families was allocated approximately 67,000 Afghanis by the organization, to be delivered in two installments.
