Officials from the Department of Water and Energy in Samangan province announced the launch of nine projects in Aybak city and several districts of the province. The projects, with a total cost of 9,701,435 Afghanis, were inaugurated in the presence of local department heads, representatives from the international organization (ACTED) and tribal elders.

According to reports, the projects include the construction of a 600-meter perimeter wall, a 15-meter-long water intake structure, a 162-meter irrigation canal, a 117-meter retaining wall, excavation of five water reservoirs, and the construction of two check dams.

The work is expected to be completed within three months. Once completed, these projects will help address the shortage of drinking and irrigation water in the region.
