The monitoring team of the Balkh Directorate of Economy conducted a supervision visit to the “Family Economic Empowerment through Local Businesses” project, implemented by the Harakat Organization.

Meanwhile, within the framework of this project, 543 savings groups have been formed, consisting of residents from Mazar-e-Sharif city and the districts of Kishindeh, Dawlatabad, Nahr-e-Shahi, Dehdadi, and Balkh.

However, members of these groups have received training in savings, lending, and financial management, and each group is expected to receive 55,000 Afghanis in cash assistance.

According to assessments, the project has contributed to improving family economies and has been positively evaluated by the beneficiaries.
