Officials from the Herat Directorate of Agriculture report a growing trend in the adoption of drip irrigation systems across the province. This method is increasingly recognized as an effective solution for water conservation and improving crop yields.

Bashir Ahmad Ahmadi, Head of Extension at the directorate, explained that drip irrigation delivers water directly to the plant roots, minimizing water waste and creating optimal conditions for agricultural growth. Additionally, it helps reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides, making farming more efficient and sustainable.
