Asphalting of Shahr-e-Naw Roads in Mazar-e-Sharif Begins at a Cost of over $5 Million USD
The asphalting project for roads in the Shahr-e-Naw area of Mazar-e-Sharif has officially begun with the presence of local officials from Balkh province. Under this project, 25 kilometers of roads in the township will be paved at a total cost of $5.5 million USD, with completion expected within three months.
Local authorities describe the project as a key step toward urban expansion, improving transportation access for residents, encouraging new investments, and boosting the local economy. They also announced the resolution of all legal issues related to Shahr-e-Naw and the commencement of the distribution of official land ownership deeds (Qabala) to its residents.
However, several Mazar-e-Sharif citizens welcomed the initiative, calling it a valuable opportunity to improve their living conditions and secure a better future.
