During the inauguration ceremony of the Pashtan Dam in Herat, which was held in the presence of high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate, Sheikh Mawlawi Islamjar, the Governor of Herat, stated that the major projects that have been initiated or are currently underway in Herat will soon turn the province into one of the country’s economic hubs.

That is while, Sheikh Islamjar added that construction work on the Herat–Chishti road will soon resume, the development of the Herat–Torghundi and Herat–Khaf railway lines is progressing, and the cement project is in its final stages of exploration.
