Construction of 230-Meter Retaining Wall Begins in Ghurian District by Afghan Red Crescent
Officials at the Afghan Red Crescent Society said that construction of a 230-meter retaining wall has begun in Gandum-Mana village, Ghurian district, Herat province.
Mawlawi Ahmad Rashid, head of the Afghan Red Crescent office in Herat, told to Police Radio that the workers employed for this project include returnee migrants from Iran.
According to Mr. Rashid, the project is financially supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and is expected to be completed within the next two months.
